The Golden State Warriors extended their greatest start in NBA history, surpassing the ‘95-’96 Bulls with a 48-4 record heading into all-star weekend. The Stephen Curry led Warriors have all but trampled most of the teams in their path, falling short to the likes of only the Milwaukee Bucks (who ended their win streak on a second game of a back-to-back on the road), Dallas Mavericks, Detroit Pistons and Denver Nuggets. Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight website projects Golden State to finish tied with the Bulls 72-10 record, but this team has openly talked about wanting to surpass Jordan’s greatest all time team. The San Antonio Spurs are not far behind according to Silver’s website, and are likely to put up one of the Top 10 greatest regular seasons in NBA history alongside the Warriors.
