Frozen windows, broken parts, and duct tape to the rescue!
In this video, I fix a stuck electric window on my first-gen Škoda Octavia — all in freezing -13°C weather. What started as a simple issue quickly turned into a full window regulator replacement... with zero budget, basic tools, and a spare part I found in my grandma’s garage.

If you drive an old VW Group car, you know the pain!
Whether it’s a Golf, Passat, Toledo, Leon, or an Octavia like mine, window regulator failures are far too common. Here’s how I dealt with mine using planks of wood, a multitool, and good ol' duct tape.

🧊 February freeze: Live reaction as the window fails
🔧 Emergency fix: Wooden wedge + duct tape combo
🛠️ Permanent fix: Swapped in a spare window regulator
😬 Bonus fail: I broke the door handle too...

✅ Car: Škoda Octavia Mk1 (1996–2010)
📍 Tools: Screwdrivers, multitool, duct tape, wooden wedges
🧩 Fix Difficulty: Easy (requires patience + basic DIY skills)
