Quick note about this video:

Firstly, two times you'll see the screen go black/white; this is the cloaking device of this enhanced Excalibur and is mission critical.

Secondly, in the first cloak, you see me coming up to the Kilrathi Prince and Heir "Thrakhath" (7:40).
He is an exceptional pilot with a special fighter.
So what I did was stay cloaked until being right behind him and as soon as I came out of the cloak I would blast him with everything I've got!
And as one can see: that worked pretty damn well, as I destroyed him in under a second :P

This is the first really great Wing Commander; 1 and 2 being a little too old and at times unfair (Secret Missions anyone?).

Anyway, this game is right there with games like Freespace from the good old times when space games where at their peak!

Graphics are pretty good, awesome cast (Mark Hamill, Malcolm McDowell, ...) and cool video sequences!
Sound and music have come a long way too, with the gameplay still being true to its formula: follow the nav points and blast everything in sight :-)

There are even some in-planet-atmosphere fights, but they are pretty forgettable...
As are the fights against those larger Destroyers, where you could just sit behind their engines and blast away until the ship is destroyed...
