The brick model of the "Kubuś" armored car is a tribute to the heroic Warsaw Uprising fighters. In August 1944, this improvised vehicle was built in Stanisław Kwiatkowski's car workshop on the corner of Tamka and Topiel Streets. The Warsaw Power Plant donated a Chevrolet truck, sheet metal, angle iron, welding and electrical equipment, and electrodes for the project. The group building the vehicle obtained the remaining necessary materials themselves.

The Warsaw Uprising broke out on August 1, 1944, and lasted until October 3 of the same year. It was an armed uprising by the Polish resistance movement, primarily the Home Army, against the German occupiers, aimed at liberating Warsaw before the arrival of the Red Army. This 1:35 scale model, created in collaboration with the Polish Army Museum, faithfully reproduces the key features of the original "Kubuś" vehicle. This vehicle actively participated in the Warsaw Uprising and is now a museum exhibit, a symbol of Polish ingenuity, heroism, and patriotism. Still maintained in running condition, it honors important national and historical ceremonies. This is another set created through cooperation between COBI and the Polish Army Museum, a collaboration that is both an honor and a pleasure for our company, and the MWP symbol will always be welcomed on our kit boxes.

Building this set is a perfect opportunity to enjoy every step of the process and pay tribute to the Warsaw Uprising fighters.

The model contains 302 components, ensuring exceptional precision and detailed reproduction, such as steel plates, weapons, and distinctive details. The set includes original prints, as well as the Wydra Motor Column emblem, which was located on the vehicle's bumper. The unusual entrance to Kubuś, through a hole in the floor, was also noted and incorporated into the model.

The set includes two figures representing soldiers from the insurgent army: a soldier from the Wydra Motorized Column: in a gray jumpsuit with a red and white armband, a "Wydra" patch, and a blue forage cap. a soldier from the "Rafałki" platoon: with a distinctive yellow triangular pennant with a skull and the letter "R" on his helmet.

The model is equipped with a DP-28 machine gun, consistent with the original Kubuś weaponry. Additionally, the vehicle's top hatch can be opened to accommodate a figure, adding realism to the overall design. The figures are equipped with weapons, including a STEN submachine gun, a Bren light machine gun, a hand grenade, a mine, a gasoline bottle, and a piece of barbed wire, further enhancing the set's appeal for historical diorama builders.
