A "winring0 virus" detection is Microsoft Defender flagging a legitimate, but vulnerable, driver called VulnerableDriver:WinNT/Winring0. This is not a true virus, but a security alert for a driver with a known vulnerability that attackers could exploit using a Bring Your Own Vulnerable Driver (BYOVD) technique to gain kernel-level privileges. To address this, update your operating system and applications, especially hardware monitoring, overclocking, and RGB lighting utilities, and then run a full Microsoft Defender scan to ensure the vulnerable driver is removed or the security exploit is blocked.
