Wireless Android Auto-capable head units to debut at CES 2018.
Whether you’re taking a long road trip or navigating around town, Android Auto makes the driving experience much easier. However, one of the most annoying aspects of Android Auto is the requirement to plug in your phone every time you get in your car. In a world where we have Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, who wants to deal with wires?
Soon you’ll be able to use it without plugging in — wireless Android Auto head units will debut at CES 2018. We’re getting word from JVCKENWOOD that it’ll show off two different units at the show this year. The first is a high-end unit from KENWOOD that features a 1280 x 720 LCD display with wide viewing angles. In addition to supporting wireless Android Auto connections, it supports Apple CarPlay as well. The second unit from JVC has a 6.8-inch display that has Wi-Fi connectivity.
