0Set to play in theaters this Thanksgiving, Wish is the latest Disney Animated Feature that is 100 years in the making! The story is about Young Asha who makes a wish so powerful that it's answered by a cosmic force, a little ball of boundless energy called Star. With Star's help, Asha must save her kingdom from King Magnifico and prove that when the will of one courageous human connects with the magic of the stars, wondrous things can happen.
Today on JoBlo our very own Jimmy O. got to visit Walt Disney's office and got to sit down with the cast including Ariana DeBose who plays Asha, as she talks about how she embraces the character and the music, as well as the story's villian King Magnifico himself Chris Pine as he talks about playing the bad guy, working the cast and being part of an animated feature.
We also sat down with the films two directors Fawn Veerasunthorn and Chris Buck as they talk about how the movie and story came to be, the history of Disney animations, and the different styles of animataion that were utilized! And the films producers Peter Del Vecho and Juan Pablo Reyes Lancaster-Jones were kind enough to lend their time with us and share their excitement for the film as well as the potential future of Wish!
