How to use the crossbow in combat. It wasn't obvious to me especially as I don't use the spell wheel for selecting spells.

Once you've equipped your crossbow on your paperdoll you have to select it in the wheel for your spell, crossbow and grenades. This then allocates it to the middle mouse key. you can then use the middle mouse key to aim and fire
