Within a Deep Forest is a freeware game developed by Nicklas Nygren (or as people more commonly know him, Nifflas). In the game, you guide a little bouncing ball through a large world, with entrances to many hidden areas strewn about. You control the ball by moving it with the left and right arrow keys, and increasing or decreasing its elasticity with the A and S keys (making it bounce more or less). Your main objective is to find the areas containing new materials for your ball, which give it different abilities. Those tiles of light in certain spots are save points, and anytime the ball dies, you return to the last save point you touched. You can also press Space to manually go back to the save point, as I demonstrate towards the end. In the video, I deliberately skip a few save points so that after getting the purple ball, I don't have to waste time backtracking to the other side of the area.

The video was recorded with SnagIt 8. The sound might be distorted a bit because one of my volume settings was too high.
