Wizard Quest platformer written in vanilla JavaScript canvas; groundwork for my CAS/P engine. Pre alpha build 05/04/2023. Original game built in Roblox, then drafted into a Game Maker prototype, and grew into itself as an HTML JavaScript canvas game since. No dependencies! (Other than my CAS/P engine which is built with vanilla canvas)

CAS/P is an open source engine available on my Replit profile:

The vast majority of my programming philosophy is built around minimal or no dependencies, nearly all (if not all) of my games require zero dependencies and are written in their native languages.

Shovel Knight had a big influence on me massively inspiring/motivating getting this project going. However this game is actually pretty similar to an NES game I used to play called Ninja Kid.
Around a quarter or third of my dev time I must've been bumping Jake Kaufman's Shovel Knight soundtrack it's pristine helped tie me into the 'NES era dev' mood. Also New Empire :D
I wish Matt Good, Steven Kaufman, or Koji Kondo would make music for this game....
Essentially my dream game since I was a kid, level design and ideas as of the Roblox/GMK version were developed from/with my friend 'RagingCowGames.' RCG initialized W1-4's ground/level outlines, all other details, coding, spritework, ETC done myself. Graphics and levels drawn in Game Maker's built in sprite editor and exported into Replit.
