WOI 2014 - 30-40 knot Cross Wind - Was it that windy?
I hope this video will answer the questions that people have been asking regarding the 'F/A-18 Hornets - 30-40 knot Cross Wind Take-Off ' video.
Answer : Yes it was that windy. It just didn't look like it on that video. Also I was shielded from the wind by using my car as a cover from the wind.
Kurnell is location right next to Sydney Airport where the wind condition was similar to Wollongong Airport that day.
Grey arrows shows the gust strength while green arrow shows normal wind strength. (at 1 min 30 sec on the video)
