Work in progress: Nordenfelt/Palmcrantz mechanical gun (Swedish 1869 prototype). This rotating barrel gun, obviously inspired by the American Gatling gun, performed poorly in trials and was never adopted by the Swedish army or navy. The designer, Helge Palmcrantz, instead developed a system with multiple barrels arranged horizontally that was adopted in 1875. This updated design (better known as the "Nordenfelt gun" after its financier Thorsten Nordenfelt) was also a successful export, seeing service with the british navy.

Mildly disappointed with how this model turned out. I didn't have many images of the gun to work off of, and 19th century mechanical engineering is very complex (who knew...). I resorted to bastardizing the gun by adding elements from Gatling and Hotchkiss guns in certain parts, and in a few instances I just made things up. Hopefully the gun is obscure enough that it won't really bother anyone.
