"Commanders!

Today, we are marking a hundred years from the moment armoured vehicles were first used in battle. To celebrate this, we are launching the new in-game event, Convoy.

In Convoy, you will find yourself on September 15, 1916, on the pastures of the Somme, where the world faced the devastating war machines for the first time. This day paved the road to a new world—the world of tanks.

From September 15 through October 5, take a trip down memory lane and fight in the new exciting event, where combat is intense and dynamic, and the rules of play are novel and engaging.

Two teams battle it out in Lanchester armored cars. One team protects the lumbering battle beast known as the Mark I, while the other team races to collect bombs to put it out of action. The Mark I rumbles across the battlefield from point "A" to point "B" -- can one team stop it in time, or will the other team guide it to victory?

For the attacking team, the objective of "Convoy" is to escort the Mark I heavy tank to the enemy base. The tank can't be harmed by enemy fire, so the opposing team will be trying to deliver bombs to the Mark I in attempts to hinder its advance or destroy it. Each successfully delivered bomb reduces the Mark I's hit points by 20 percent and destroys its tracks. Should an enemy Lanchester slip past your defenses and detonate a bomb, locate a nearby Repair Tools pick-up. Head over, grab it, then bring it back to the injured beast so it can resume its triumphant march. If the Mark I reaches the enemy base, you win.

For the defending team, victory is achieved one of two ways: by destroying the enemy's Mark I, or otherwise preventing it from reaching your base within the time limit. Do not try to impede its advance by ramming: the beastly Mark I will snap up a Lanchester like it's a cookie. Use your wits and keep a watchful eye on the minimap: locate and pick up a bomb, then deliver it to the Mark I. Again, a delivered bomb explodes and immobilizes the Mark I, as well as taking 20% of its HP. If you fail to detonate the bomb, don't linger; move to grab a new one and try again. Time is of the essence! Do everything it takes to prevent the attackers from repairing their Mark I.

The Lanchester armoured car with a unique WWI crew will be automatically added to your account when you log into the game.

In battle, all players have unlimited respawns. Therefore, do not focus on destroying enemy vehicles, but rather on fulfilling your main objective.

If either a vehicle carrying a bomb or the Repair Tools are destroyed, the "payload" is dropped, but other players can pick it up again for a certain amount of time. If no one retrieves it, the payload reappears where it was originally found.

At the end of the event, all Lanchester vehicles will be removed from the garage, and the crews will be placed in the barracks. If no slots are available, the tankers will be placed in temporary ones which will disappear once the crews are placed on a new vehicle. All XP stored on the Lanchesters will be transferred to the Vickers Medium Mk. I."
