World War Z AFTERMATH is a game for four players who work together to shoot zombies. It's an action-packed game where you kill zombies and complete missions in various locations worldwide. The main goal is to survive the zombie apocalypse by killing, escaping, and staying alive. Players need to use a mix of stealth and smart tactics to move around the groups of zombies. This becomes more important when the game gets harder, with zombies becoming tougher and more aggressive. Teamwork is really important to survive in the game.
In response to the zombie outbreak in Japan, the government recognized its inadequacy in combating the growing threat. Faced with the lack of combat experience within the Japan Self-Defense Forces (JSDF) and strict regulations limiting firearm ownership to specific individuals, such as military soldiers and police officers, the government opted for a strategic evacuation of the Japanese home islands to secure locations. This decision was driven by the realization that traditional military measures might prove insufficient in the face of the zombie horde, prompting a mass exodus to alternative safe zones as a means of safeguarding the population.
As command initiates the final evacuation preparations, Team 4 fights their way to the ship, eliminating pursuing zombies along the way. At Checkpoint 12, they confront a approaching swarm, successfully holding it off and allowing JSDF soldiers to join them after confirming their well-being. Command directs the team to the fuel depot, where the commander plans to detonate it, creating a barrier of fire to deter pursuing zombies. Despite a zeke ambush during the explosives setup, the team successfully plants them.
Reaching a final checkpoint near the ship, they encounter more JSDF personnel who warn them of a massive approaching swarm. Concerned about being abandoned, the team learns the commander has a tether boat nearby for their escape. Together with the JSDF, they fend off the colossal swarm, using the boat to reach the ship safely. As they watch the fuel depot explosion, the team reflects that their battle is far from over, anticipating the challenges ahead as they board the ship and continue their journey.
