...what is with this rash of songs about "predicting" scenarios of loss? This, Death Bed, Like I'm Trying To Lose You? Are pop stars so pampered that the closest things to real and tragic, if mundane, experiences they can write about are literal fantasies? I mean Mac Miller barely made a couple of brushes with mainstream fame and he has the saddest song of the decade, but otherwise you have to go to, like, Mount Eerie, or BCNR I guess. I mean Lewis Capaldi has a couple of songs about real grief, but the problem with listening to Lewis Capaldi is that you have to listen to Lewis Capaldi.
