Here are the mechanics that we gathered from research afterwards: He has some 32~ health and dropping anvils and such on his head does different amounts of damage by type. If they are on the floor already, they only hit him for 1. The claws slow him down but do no damage until his HP is nearly empty and the track comes to its end, at which point they are the only way to kill him.
