Worth Your Time? - Tea For God VR (Oculus Quest 2020 Review)
80Tea For God is a one-of-a-kind virtual reality experience that can't be replicated by any other VR game in Sidequest's library of games or even Oculus Quest's library at this moment. Through the use of Impossible Spaces and a compelling Roguelite shooter-game loop, Tea For God allows you to play procedurally generated levels in your own playspace that's governed by your Guardian Boundry. Over-lapping pathways will ensure that even though you are walking, running and dodging using your own legs that you will not once hit any of your real-life walls or obstacles. That alone would be enough to sell this VR game as a unique experience, but the game itself is also enjoyable if not yet finished. Tea For God is currently at version .4.8 in its development cycle of 1.5+ years and features content like fully randomized levels with branching paths, random guns and accessories from enemy drops, around a dozen different enemy units to combat, a full day-night cycle, light puzzles, and an out-of-match persistence that allows you to customize your loadout, strengths and weaknesses. All of this on top of 5 different difficulty settings that will ensure you find the right balance for the proper Roguelite experience!
