WRIGGLER (ZX SPECTRUM - FULL GAME)
Zeus presents "Wriggler" for the ZX Spectrum, a true classic from the golden era of ZX Spectrum gaming which must not be forgotten alongside the programmers that were involved in making this game.
Year of release: 1985
The life of a worm can be boring I guess but one day 4 worms got together and decided to have a race to see who could escape the garden first.
So the deal is you must exit not only the garden but also the underground, hell, planet surface and the dungeon and find the exit door deep below whilst avoiding the many nasties that will drain your energy at a drastic pace but worst of all is the Spider, one touch from this wonderfully animated deadly guy and you'll be replaced with a tombstone whilst a sad little tune plays.
You get 3 lives whilst the possibility of picking up more, you also have the chance to pick up useful objects such as food which will replenish your energy, ant spray which will kill the toughest ants and even a parachute which is needed if you are willing to take a huge dive down a cavern as shown in the video,...you'll even see UFO's if you get that far which are shown in this upload.
There are tons of screens so getting to know the route can be a challenge as you can get lost quite easily which will result in you wondering around the caverns for a very long time so you must memorise your route carefully.
Lovely classic game which most ZX Spectrum owners should own in their collection, I have the original myself and on the other side of the cassette is Wriggler's groovy "Moons of Jupiter" tune which can be heard here which also has comments on it by the composer and former owner of Romantic Robot Software himself "Alexander Goldscheider": • WRIGGLER (ZX SPECTRUM - THE MOONS OF ...
Oh, no matter what position in the race you finish the ending is the same except the text stating the position you finished,...this upload shows 1st place.
Infinite lives POKE used so the whole game could be shown.
