Not surprising that this runs so horribly. The Xbox 360 sort of ran backwards compatibility on it, but all lights were visible through walls, which made it next to unplayable. Here, text has issues, many effects are missing, the frame-rate is consistently terrible, the motion blur still renders at its native resolution (which looked bad even on the Xbox), and shadows flicker.

Oh, well, this game's easy to get running natively on PC at 4K and with controller support, anyway. Still, there's something nice about seeing it and feeling it run this way when it does work well briefly. It was never a stable feeling game even on original hardware.

I might try Deus Ex: Invisible War, but given that they use the same engine, my hopes aren't high.
