Xbox Scorpio Specs Leaked | No eSRAM, Updated GPU & CPU Performance Hints
According to a leaked document obtained by Eurogamer; titled Reaching 4K and GPU Scaling Across Multiple Xbox Devices, Project Scorpio will not use the Xbox One's infamous esram design, and instead rely entirely on the esram.
There's also mention that the GPU specs are 4.5 times faster than the original xbox one, with scorpio's 6TFLOPS echoed a few times, and 4x the Level 2 cache.
Hints also point to the Xbox scorpio not having a drastically updated CPU, such as AMD's Ryzen, but might still stick to the similar CPU found inside both the PS4 and Xbox One currently, namely the Jaguar. But this wasn't confirmed in the leak, but does appear to be the case.
Project scorpio is due for release holiday 2017, with no exact release date yet.
Phil Spencer has also (in separate news) confirmed he's played on prototype hardware for the soon to be released console, and said that he's pleased with the development of the machine thus far.
