XCOM 2 one of the best games of 2016 just got better! The Long War 2 mod adds new research, weapons, missions, enemies and strategy.

Welcome to the Long War Commanders.

Twenty years ago the leaders of the world offered an unconditional surrender to the invading alien forces. XCOM, the planet’s first, last and only line of defense, was sacrificed, abandoned and destroyed. Their Commander captured.

In XCOM 2, the aliens rule Earth under the guise of the ADVENT coalition, building new cities on the wreckage of the old and offering free housing and healthcare for all. However, under the surface of this bright façade lies a secret. A secret so dark that any who question this new life swiftly disappear.

But the invaders made mistake. XCOM still lives.

In the shanty towns outside the cities hidden are those who refused to bow, XCOM is building a global resistance. Once ready, they will ignite that global resistance and restart the war for Earth. They need only one more person. The person who will strike the match, start the fire and lead them.

They need their Commander!

- The ‘Long War 2’ mod is a modification, created by PAVONIS INTERACTIVE, of the original XCOM 2. PAVONIS INTERACTIVE is the reincarnation of the original ‘Long War’ development team for the much praised Long War mod for the XCOM; Enemy Unknown and Enemy Within games.
