This is an oldie but not-so-goodie. In fact, this game is plagued with not only a slew of technical issues but gameplay design that's outright idiotic in my opinion. It uses some roll-of-the-dice system on top of the fact you have to level up characters and gear and on top of all that, there is a perma-death system on top of it all. But these systems seem to not at all apply to the enemies though. The game design of the 1st game was essentially a game of chess: you strategically place your pieces and that is what determines the outcome. Now it's like chess combined with roulette and craps. So intelligently placing your pieces isn't enough to win. Now there's a matter of luck involved even in situations you would obviously win.

Now, why am I playing it you ask? Because I played the 1st game and loved it and when I saw the 2nd game on sale I bought it but I had no idea that not only was this game basically broken and barely functional but also had these stupid gameplay systems in place that made it that much worse. But I'm going to play it anyway. After all, I bought it.
