A child of older brother of Rosalina, Mina was still a cheery girl even when the invasion started. Her cheeriness ended when aliens killed her aunt in XCOM HQ defense.
In XCOM 2 canon Mina grew quite fast emotionally. At the age of 16 she already was a quite well-known Italian Resistance member. She, just like her aunt, wasn't good with weapons and actual combat. Instead, she supported the food infrastructure within the European Resistance. When she was 23, she became the leader of European Resistance farms. Thanks to her efforts, the Resistance gained great supply couriers such as Salmon Grain and many others.
It is safe to assume that without a well-established food supply the Resistance in Europe would be wiped out by hungry snakewomen.
She likes to command. She hates aliens.
