So this mission started with the device taking 11 damage per turn from an Andromedon that spawned next to it. After rushing as fast as I could to the beacon, barely making it there in time, it destroyed itself somehow from nothing. Protect the Device missions in the late game can be nearly impossible.

Note: The framerate issues are normal, most graphic options are disabled or on low settings, I have no idea how to make it not lag so much. XCOM2's performance optimizations leave much to be desired.
