I first played this game back in 2015, right around the time I discovered the joys of The In-Depth Youtube Video Essay. Since then, I've felt the calling to try my hand at this whole "lengthy gamer critique" thing, and with this specific game, a fascinating, fractured, and heartbreakingly unique moment in JRPG history, and one of my absolute favorites in the genre. Various degrees of circumstance have prevented me from fully realizing those ambitions until now, and it means more to me than I can ever describe to finally be able to launch my youtube career with this behemoth.
