The earth is being invaded by forces from beyond. Their desires, technology and purpose a mystery. It is up to the meager unfunded, unprotected, and unprepared forces of earth to mount a defense in the form of the Xenonauts.

This is a tactical turn based combat game that has a base-building and resource/income strategic layer as well. We'll need to manage research, intercept enemy UFO's, investigate downed enemy ships, and keep our troops alive. We're on a time limit as well - take too long and we fall behind which means the elimination of our bases and support of countries funding us.

Know that I'm using the Community Edition of the game, I have a few mods installed (most notable being Hold the Line - which weakens the enemy pyschic powers somewhat) and I have modded the game slightly in the following ways:

Aircraft costs have been reduced to purchase/upkeep.

Soldier minimum stats have been increased by 10 across the board.

Aircraft are refueled significantly faster, and rearm their weapons before refueling.
