Xiaomi 14 - Could it be the best phone of 2023? [Unboxing and Review]

Today's video is a bit different than usual, as the last time I did something like this was back in November 2020.
And yeah, it's an unboxing and in-depth review of the Xiaomi 14!
It's been a bit of a weird experience, buying this device on a little-known chinese marketplace, having it delivered through some random holidays, and testing it while recovering from some minor surgery. Nothing I'm unable to do, though.
Anyways, this phone is amazing. It's powerful, elegant, it has some really nice cameras, and the experience feels well engineered in general. It feels like a flagship should. And besides that, even though the following may be more subjective, it's not too big, and I like its minimalistic looks. But please, BRING BACK THE HEADPHONE JACK!!!
Let's now talk about what makes this phone so great!
Hardware Specs:
- CPU: Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
- GPU: Adreno 750.
- RAM: 16 GB LPDDR5X.
- Storage: 512 GB UFS 4.0.
- Battery: 4610 mAh - Charges at 90W (Wired), 50W (Wireless) - 10W Reverse charge.
- Screen: 6.36" 1200x2670 1-120Hz AMOLED.
- Cameras: 50 Mpx OV50H (Main), 50 Mp S5KJN1 (Telephoto & Wide Angle), 32 Mpx OV32B (Selfie).
Geekbench 6 Results:
CPU Single-Core: 2170.
CPU Multi-Core: 7022.
GPU OpenCL: 13997.
GPU Vulkan: 14167.
And all of that for just 737 Eur! Stings a bit in the wallet, but what you get more than makes up for it.

Q: How long does the battery last?
A: It lasts the entire day, with some heavy use spread throughout the day.
Q: What are the mm values shown in the camera test?
A: They're the focal length of the lenses, adjusted as if it were a 35mm sensor.
Q: Why didn't you test the 5G connectivity?
A: My network provider doesn't provide 5G services (yet).
