XYANIDE RESURRECTION (PS2 - FULL GAME + DIGITAL FILM INTRO)
79Zeus presents Xyanide Resurrection (With Digital Film Intro) for the PS2, an average shooter from the golden era of PS2 gaming which must not be forgotten alongside the software house and all programmers that were involved in making this game.

Well after the events of the original Xyanide on the XBox, the Witch is taken prisoner, but on her way to face justice the ship carrying her is hit by an asteroid allowing her to escape, it is your job as the executioner to track her down and impose justice by destroying her.
The game like It's prequel isn't that good, it seems to revolve around fast backgrounds swirling round you just to hide the fact this game has limited fire power to be a really enjoyable shooter and very tricky to control your ship.
You can select different levels to reach the fith and final stage but many of them just repeat giving it no real long term appeal and once again reminding you It's too hard with the limited fire power and the sore thumb you will get hitting that fire button as there is no auto fire option (even holding down the button produces just 1 shot).
The most impressive part of this game is the Digital comic movie, it contains 12 clips which explain the reason why you are called into action, they are gradually unlocked as you complete stages and watchable in the "Extra's" section, I have linked all 12 parts of this mini movie and placed it at the beginning of this longplay for continuity sake, it really is very cool with great artwork.
Sadly,...the same cannot be said about the ending, if you are good enough to defeat the witch and her second incarnation of a skeleton, all you are greeted with is an explotion followed by a staff credit roll, no ending, no animation,...nothing, and for a PS2 game,...that's a pretty piss-poor thing to do from the programmers especially if you've shown that much skill to defeat both incarnations of the witch, there should have been at least another Digital comic clip to show the Executioner's reward of freedom but no, just a staff roll, and to further back my point up of annoyance, the staff roll can be seen anyway by simply clicking on the staff icon on the extra's menu!...WTF!
Anyway enjoy the intro story,...really cool, best part of the game!
I have used the infy energy and bomb cheats for the first 4 levels but had to fight the witch without cheats as they failed to work on the final stage,...blood, sweat and tears helped me complete the final stage.
I hope all you PS2 fans enjoy this upload enough to sub :-)
