Yakuza 0 is a standalone, story-driven action that tells the origins story of Kazuma Kiryu and details his ascension into the ranks of the Yakuza - the name provided to members of notorious Japanese crime organizations. Newcomers to the Yakuza series can experience the action-packed, story-driven experience from the very beginning of Kazuya's story, one that concentrates on navigating the seedy underworld of Japan while Yakuza fans will have the additional joy of also getting the chance to play as long-time NPC, Majima Goro - the Mad Dog of Shimano.
Developed for PS4, the game is going to be localized and released in early 2017 as physical and digital versions in North America and Europe.
