Year of Ren'py - Part 8 - Random Events
Premiere Note: This video is only 06:02 long. Just so you know.
This video is part of my series for while I am gone away for the next year. There will be a new Ren'py video that will come out each month. At least one a month, while I am away. Watch for them on the second last Wednesday of the month. I will put in the description what is coming next so you know what you want to get ready if you wish to follow along and casually learn Ren'py over this year.
Current video: Random Events
How to make ren'py come up with an event from the ones you give it. (Works great for a coin toss but could be used for anything. Anything you want to be random so the player can't control the outcome of it.)
Next video: Basic Timed Answers
The very basics on how to have a timer for your player to answer a question before the time is up. (Warning, not the best video. I rarely use it so had to look it up from an old game and it took a bit so it is a bit all over. But hopefully you will get enough info from it. Maybe when I get back I will do a better version of it. But this will give you the basics to help start you down the path to make it better.)
