Hello all,
In today's video we will talk about the #yearofdarkpaw quests for August. Broken Key of Fire and Oasis of Fire. Every month they will add an additional Key quest and Mission.
This quest starts off on the 8th floor of the tower. To get their quickly will be to take the center portal up three times and then go down once. Each port takes you up 3 floors.
The key quest is done in original Skyfire (Kunark). Fastest way will be port from a druid or wizard to skyfire, if not PoK book to Overthere (original Kunark one) then zone to Skyfire. Once there follow EQresources or Bonzz waypoints to get to the three area updates. Go to each spot and update, kill devourer, then kill wyvern to loot the piece. Once you have all 3 pieces then combine and key is done!
The mission itself is not too difficult. The floors should be getting slightly harder each month. To inspect is just an area update on the right side of the room. Kill dervish, get another area update, kill dervish. Repeat this a total of 4 times then final boss activates. The wyvern will spawn adds % base. Kill boss, kill adds.. profit
This month unlocks the 3 different types of belts (Cripple, melee and caster/healer types.) Please make sure to find the correct type for your class. This should be a higher priority than whatever stat gains you may get. Type 7/8 aug that unlocks this month will be the Charisma base one. This is likely the least wanted of any of the stat type augs. However not bad for mod3s Spell damage, heal amounts, and clairvoyance.
The New weapon ornament released this month will be Blazing Mace of Fennin Ro. Im typically not an ornament person but I do like these. They are huge flaming maces. Fits in any weapon types 1h/2h.
Patch note changes noteable:
- Daily hotzone quest rewards for levels 100 and 105 now have stats and sockets. - Great exp the effort
- Final Fugue (Raid) - The Tertiary Echo will now break Margator out of his spin and break his speed - Killing Darga Smasher after Margator the Slow will allow getting the Speed Limit raid achievement easier. Will not be a DPS check for raids that can not burn him fast enough.
