🪲 The Infestation Update
Something ancient has stirred. Once asleep, it now pulses with a quiet, strange energy—spreading through stone, water, and root. At its center, a beam shoots into the sky, steady and bright. It’s not fire. It’s not just light. It’s an ancient, mysterious energy. Forgotten by time, but not by all. Deep beneath the bogs, shells start to crack. Eyes begin to open. The bugs aren’t just drawn to the beacon—they’ve been waiting for it. The infestation has begun.

🐌 Bug NPCs!
For the first time ever, the world of Yeeps has living, crawling, exploding things that fight back. Bug NPCs have arrived—and they are not here to be your friends. From the frontline-charging Pincer Bug to the lumbering Fat Bug aka "The Tank", each creature has its own behavior and absolutely zero interest in your survival. And yes, one of them is a Snail, but don’t let that fool you.

These creatures come from Spawn Eggs, throw one down in creative mode to summon a creature and watch the chaos unfold.

Yeeps added a full set of tools to help you bring the bugs into your own builds:
Mob Spawners and Mob Spawn Zones** let you place where bugs appear, one at a time or in full swarms.
Mob Barriers define areas where mobs can’t get to you.
Survival Game Mode— turn your map into a fight to stay alive - it’s you versus the infestation.
Mob Beacon— the mysterious beacon of power drawing the bugs in. Protect it at all costs.

...and the beacon keeps pulsing, waking things that were never meant to wake. The bugs were only the first to answer the call—but they won’t be the last...

🛡 ️ New Defenses
Trass would never leave you unarmed in the middle of an infestation. That would be super irresponsible of them.
They've added a whole arsenal of turrets, both stuffed and wooden, with new projectile types, including Mortar Turrets**, Missile Turrets, a Mini Turret, and a wooden version of the classic Pellet Turret.

Yeeps added the Turret Targeter, a handy device for directing your turret fire where it’s needed most.

And lastly, Yeeps added Landmines, both stuffed and wooden. Place them near chokepoints or doorways... just be careful not to step on them yourselves

All of the new defenses are available on the Ocean Biome tech web.

🩹 Stay Alive
Bug bites hurt.

To help you survive the swarm, the Devs added a few ways to patch yourself up. Grab a Small Health Pack for a quick stuffing top-off, or hold out for the Large Health Pack if you're in serious trouble.

If you're playing with friends, the new Healing Gun lets you fire healing darts to patch them up from a distance.

The Healing Gun and both Health Packs are available on the Snow Biome tech web.

🏰 New map: Infested Castle
Infested Castle is a brand-new Survival Mode map — and it’s not for the faint of heart. What was once a quiet, fortified stronghold has become the latest victim of the spreading infestation.

An extermination team — that’s you — has been rushed in to stop the outbreak before it spreads any further. You’ll need strong defenses and quick reflexes to survive the onslaught. Hold the walls, protect the beacon, and push back the infestation before it’s too late.
