This video was longer with all of the glitches still in it, but you only get to see the two big ones in its current form, which is why I'm dropping things here. The game just isn't stable enough for me to put in the effort of going through it, and after Two Brothers, all I can say is that my desire to do so is dead. There are even more glitch reports I've read on things to come, so it's just not worth it to wade through the rest of the game. I liked how the graphics and music were different than your normal JRPG fare, but the writing and combat are just too weak.

The good news is that there are supposed to be some patches coming out that may remedy this. Other things that are being looked at is the enemy HP scaling as the fights take forever and even landing good combos just doesn't really have a good effect. This causes a lot of the fights to have crap pacing, and it is supposed to get worse from here despite how decent the sewers actually were. Ultimately, I think the game was released prematurely, and the poor reception is a reflection of that.

Lastly, the one thing I can't wrap my mind around is the historical inaccuracy of the time period. The characters are whining about the economy, but 1999 was one of the strongest years in the US until very recently. That year held the greatest number of IPOs in history due to the dot com bubble, and everyone was very optimistic about the future. 1999 I believe was also the last time the US had a surplus, which was even more reason why their attitudes just don't make sense. Had this been 2001 until around 2015, things would make sense and things would be true, but instead we have some kind of alternate reality thing where certain facts were chosen to be included while others were omitted.
