Yooka-Laylee Gameplay Episode 1
Yooka and Laylee are relaxing when their book gets sucked into a vortex thanks to Capital B. Thinking it's valuable, the chameleon and bat race after it and find themselves in Hivory Towers.
Yooka-Laylee is an open-world platformer developed by Playtonic Games and published by Team 17 for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch. Playtonic Games is made up of several previous Rare employees who worked on Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong Country. The game is a platforming collectathon, similar to video games that were popular in the '90s. Yooka the chameleon and Laylee the bat start their adventure in Shipwreck Creek. An evil villain named Capital B and his henchman Dr. Quack aim to steal all the books in the world so that they control the market and get rich. Yooka and Laylee lose a book that they found and head to Hivory Towers (the hub world) to get it back. They have to collect golden pagies in order to open and expand tomes. Tomes are portals to different worlds. In order to make it through the worlds, Yooka and Laylee will have to power up. That's where Trowzer comes in. He'll trade powerups for quills that can be collected in the different levels. These powerups use a power bar that can be refilled by collecting butterflies. Yooka and Laylee can also collect mollycools to give to Dr. Puzz and get different transformations.
