Yooka-Laylee (Review): The Handcuffs of Nostalgia
Sometimes, Nostalgia can hurt you. Heavily.
Yooka-Laylee tries so hard to be the prince of Rareware. It wants to revive the 3D platformer so badly, and that's something I could get on-board with. But, in it's quest to follow the footsteps of Banjo-Kazooie, did it forget what made that original game as magical as it was? Does it try too hard to imitate Banjo-Kazooie, without understanding why exactly certain elements were used in the way that they were.
