So, uhm... this video exists. Read the description.

Did you know that this wasn't meant to be used as a playthrough? Believe it or not, this was a recycled race video that I and Evilguy019 did today... however thanks to technical issues, we didn't succeed because of ZSNES being a prick to Evilguy. Thanks to his video not being recorded correctly, I had to turn this video into a playthrough.

Enough fun facts, time to give a little bit of information about the hack that I'm playing. This is an entry from SMWC's "12 Days Until Christmas" contest, and the hack's concept is the land is shattered into peaces, and Mario has to put it back together. I guess I'll list the levels here so you have easy access.

Beginning - Title Screen/Intro
Basically a recycle of one of his 24 hour entries. I like it though, so no complaints here.

0:19 - SHATTERED LANDS 1
Already the game greets you with a challenge. I honestly like it when a game gives you a challenge in the first level, especially if you played SMW billions of times. Nice introduction to the hack.

1:22 - SHATTERED LANDS 2
I like how clever it was to "break the water" in this level. Not logical at all, but then again, I'm talking about a game where bricks with question blocks and coins are flouting in mid air, and people growing big from eating mushrooms, so... yeah. About this level though, I liked how you used the water in this level... but some areas feel a little bit unfair, like the dolphins that go left/right don't show up right away, and that fish at 2:11 was a little bit of a pain. Other then that, I liked it.

2:40 - SHATTERED LANDS 3
This was an AWESOME concept you went with this level, very clever level here. Only thing I would remove/change is the bat at the end, I didn't see it coming. Very minor though, and I have no problem with it being left there.

3:40 - SHATTERED LANDS 4
You know, I wasn't exactly a fan of these kinds of levels, but at least I have a little bit of respect with this one, since it doesn't have that bullsh*t ON/OFF gimmick that always forces you with trial and error. This level made me die a lot, and even a few game overs (and this was the level that made me realize how thankful I am with the Save Progress feature, lol). I usually like to go at my own speed, but these kind of levels make me stay focused. I like the creative uses you put in the level, and the difficulty was actually pretty fair.

4:38 - SHATTERED LANDS 5
Now we're getting into what I call "Death Trap Lane", or basically levels that are more challenging then the last four. This level brings a taste of what's to come, and while it's a little easy, it still makes you be a little patient thanks to the base ball chucks and the "GO FASTER" pokies. All n' all, a pretty nice level... though I have a little complaint about the theme: This looks more like a town rather then a city.

5:43 - SHATTERED LANDS 6
Now THIS is the level that tests your patients. I guess you can say that he fuzzed up the difficulty! *BU DUM TSS* No seriously, this is one of the levels that gave me quite a few game overs due to me being bad at timing with my jumping skills, and the physics of this level. I'm going to take the wild guess that we're in space. SPAAA- No, not going to make that overused joke! ...Anyway, basically a whole bunch of Fuzzies decided to take over this land, and it's your job to time your jumps and be a little patient. I have to say though, by this point, YCZ had way too much fun with the Line Guides here and the fuzzies. This almost puts P-switch to shame... except not really. I guess I can't complain about anything, as a lot of my deaths are kind of my fault (even though they aren't shown). A neat level here.

6:49 - SHATTERED LANDS 7
Ugh... not another screen scrolling level... No seriously, I kind of liked this level... but this is the level where it REALLY tests your ability of know what to do when you get to a certain area. I'll give it credit though, it at least didn't feel like the hack was hand holding you. A pretty challenging level here, I must say... I still hate fishing boos though.

7:49 - SHATTERED LANDS 8
I'll be a little honest, for how hard the other 3 levels where, this was way too easy because you can skip sections of the level. In my opinion, the level felt too short, almost like you only made the level 8 screens long. This level felt a little disapointing, but then you surprised me at the end that we go in the Vortex... I guess I'll give it credit that it disappoints you, then surprise you again.
