You have a secret translator on Android and you didn't know it
39Are you still copying text into Google Translate to reply to messages in another language? Today we'll show you how to translate in real time with Gboard, the Google keyboard you already have on your Android phone.
In WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, or Gmail, you can detect the language, translate to Spanish instantly, and reply directly without leaving the chat. We'll also show you the reverse process for writing in another language (English, French, Chinese... whatever you need) from the keyboard itself.
What you'll see in the video
Where is the Translate function in Gboard?
Detect the language and set Spanish as the destination.
Copy, paste into the translator bar, and send the translation instantly.
The reverse mode: write in Spanish → send in another language.
Also, a cybersecurity and privacy tip: the text goes through Google's servers; avoid using sensitive data.
