How to scan documents with Google Drive from your mobile
In this video, we show you step-by-step how to scan documents with Google Drive using your mobile device. Open Google Drive on Android, tap the "+" button, choose Scan, grant camera permission, and let the app automatically detect the edges of the page. Then, adjust the cropping, review the image, and save the resulting PDF to share via WhatsApp, email, or Drive in seconds. All for free, without a printer or traditional scanner, with more than enough quality for paperwork, contracts, receipts, or notes.
While we're at it, we'll share quick tips for a perfect scan: use good lighting (natural light is best), place the document against a contrasting background, avoid shadows, and verify that the frame is frontal before shooting. We also show you how to repeat the capture if something isn't clear and how to rename the PDF to keep it organized in your Google Drive folders.
If you need to send a PDF instantly, digitize a contract, scan your ID, or convert photos to PDF for a transaction, this tutorial will save you time. Plus, saving to Drive keeps your files synced and accessible from your computer.
