"You shouldn't strive to have AUTISM"
#sociology #hobby #maps #autism
In today's video, I share a very personal and emotional journey. As someone passionate about maps and city planning, I often immerse myself deeply in my interests. My mum thinks the world isn't ready for me, but I strongly believe otherwise.
Lately, I've been struggling with my university studies in city planning. My obsession with maps and designing cities has become overwhelming, and it's affecting my academic performance. Concerned for my future, my parents decided it was time for me to attend autism therapy, hoping it would help me find a balance between my passion and my responsibilities.
Join me as I navigate through this challenging time. You'll see me surrounded by my beloved maps, working on city designs, and dealing with the emotional weight of my parents concerns (yep!). Despite the push for therapy and university demands, my love for maps remains undeterred.
In this video, I take you with me to the therapy session, kind of. I definitely explode and say everything. The therapist offer insights and strategies to help manage my autism and my intense focus on maps. It's a tough process, but it's also eye-opening.
During our visit, I couldn't resist exploring more maps. My mum and I spend some time looking at various city maps, timetables and museums.
Through this journey, I hope to show that even when faced with obstacles, our passions don't have to be sidelined, even if some people say so. It's about finding a way to integrate them into our lives healthily and sustainably, i believe now. Whether you're dealing with autism, university challenges, or simply trying to follow your dreams, I hope my story inspires you to keep pushing forward.
