In this video we are going to compare the two recently launched smartphone processors - the Mediatek Dimensity 1000 and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 to find out which one should you choose when buying a new device in 2020!
This is my initial review of both these processors based on leaks and numbers provided by the companies themselves. We do not have real benchmarks or performance metrics at this time since the processors have been newly released and we have no device available with these chips inside them that are readily available in the commercial market!
In terms of specs and performance metrics the Snapdragon 865 is ahead of the Mediatek chip but what is amazing about the Dimensity 1000 is how close it comes to matching the performance of the top range Qualcomm chips.
The Dimensity 1000 also contains an integrated 5G modem which makes it ideal for mid range and upper mid range devices.
The Snapdragon 865 on the other hand has a separate X55 modem which has it’s own set of pros and cons!
