I love Christmas. That includes Christmas movies, and I’ve perhaps seen none more than The Polar Express. To some, this might sound unacceptable, largely due to the awkward animation. But it just doesn’t look that weird to me—and my appreciation for the film goes beyond that. I think the story is captivating and engaging, and its themes are interesting and inspiring, exploring the strength of faith, the importance of self-discovery, and the power of wonder and nostalgia.
