Hey everyone!
as you can see in the video i received a copyright notice. as you will also see, there was no chance of being able to copy the material that is being claimed as being copied and is completely invalid......
BUT WHY WAS IT ALLOWED THEN? small youtubers are screwed over soooo much every day because of these claims, when someone makes a video and puts effort into making them its sick to think that fraudulent companies are taking advantage of a broken system to profit from these videos. the smaller the youtuber the more chance they can get away with it. anyone can make a claim and anyone can issue a strike and as seen in the video above there is no limit to the time that they can issue a claim!
you may not agree with people earning money from ad revenue of their videos but say you went and worked on something then someone came along and stole profits claiming that it was copying something even though it wasn't i'm sure you would be pissed off yourself.
youtube is far too willing to allow big companies screw over the independent youtuber without any sort of consequence and that is not right, it needs to stop, now.
