0Tina Baer is the Mastermind behind the term "Swemo," a combination of Swifty and emo. The term has taken the world by storm, particularly on TikTok, where the hashtag has amassed over 11 million views. Emo music, a sub-genre of punk rock known for its emotional lyrics, may seem an unlikely match for Taylor Swift's pop anthems and many thought Baer a Mad Woman for thinking the two go hand in hand, but as a self-proclaimed Lover of Taylor Swift and emo music she says the Swemos get it, "When I put on a Venn diagram Taylor Swift and emo sometimes it does become so overwhelming, it’s a circle. It’s a lot of emotionally driven writing."
She took the term 'Swemo’ and from it, she created The Swemo Experience, a party designed for the people who knew their love of emo music was 'never a phase’ and listening to Taylor Swift was Nothing New.
