Hey guys, CrossFlux and BrokenIdeas here with something new for the channel. We're both really into card games, Yu-Gi-Oh! especially. After being inspired by Cimoooooooo's Progression series on YouTube, we decided we wanted to do something like that for ourselves. This episode is to outline all the rules and guidelines that we'll be following - that way we don't have to explain it every time in each future video!

Premise:
The goal of this series is to have fun by watching how YuGiOh changed over time. We do this by having an "evolving" deck. Each episode we'll open a booster box from the next set of TCG boosters; starting with Legend of Blue Eyes, followed by Metal Raiders, and so on. Once we open all 24 packs, we construct a deck using our new cards (including our previous "inventory"). The winner of a Match (or best 2 out of 3 games) will earn a Win on the Scoreboard.

Rules:
We will be following Master Rule 5.
Each episode will feature the Ban-list that was relevant at the time of that featured Booster's release.
We will also be playing with Post-Errata cards.

Pity Points:
At the end of each episode, the Loser of the Match will obtain a "Pity Point" which can be redeemed in between episodes for extra chances at various Boosters, or saved up and used to purchase Starter Decks and other such goodies.
Here's an extensive list at what they can be used for:

1 Point = 3 Packs of the previous booster
1 Point = 3 Packs of the current Tournament / Turbo pack
1 Point = 1 Common Card from the previous booster

2 Points = 7 Packs of the previous booster
2 Points = 7 Packs of a Side Set (Secret Slayers, etc.)
2 Points = 7 Packs of the current Reprint Booster (Dark Beginnings, etc)
2 Points = 1 Rare Card from the previous booster

3 Points = 10 Packs of the previous booster
3 Points = 10 Packs of a Side Set (Secret Slayers, etc)
3 Points = 10 Packs of the current Reprint Booster (Dark Beginnings, etc)
3 Points = 1 Super Rare Card from the previous booster

4 Points = 1 Starter Deck
4 Points = 1 Ultra Rare Card from the previous booster
4 Points = 1 Playset of a Rare or lower card from the previous booster

5 Points = 1 Structure Deck
5 Points = 1 Secret Rare Card from the previous booster
5 Points = 1 Playset of an Ultra Rare or lower card from the previous booster

Not only that, but Broken and I can trade each other cards from our collection in between episodes. It must be rarity for rarity and we can only do so once per Era of Yu-Gi-Oh!

Also a special thanks to the guy who inspired this series, please check out Alex Cimo's YouTube channel. If you love our Progression series, then I know you'll enjoy his as well!
