Welcome to my brand new video series, the Speedy Tours! On today's Speedy Tour, we look at our good friend Error from Zelda 2. Who exactly is Error? And what purpose does he have in the game? Well, that's what we are here to discover! While Error has become the butt of many a joke, he does actually serve a purpose in the game and gives Link some valuable information. Watch the video to find out exactly what I mean. Please feel free to leave a like and a comment below. Thank you! :D
As for the naming of Error, there is no official explanation. It is not a mistranslation. His name in the Japanese version of the game is "Era", a Japanese romanization of "Error". It could be an inside joke, as there is another character in the game named Bagu. "Bagu" is a Japanese romanization of "Bug", which in computer lingo is similar to an Error. This is all still speculation, and the true meaning of the name may never be fully known. Either way you look at it, the character Error himself is no error. ;)
Thanks again for watching and have a great day! :)
This is the first edition of the Speedy Tours video series I came up with. The purpose of this series is to give quick tips, tricks, cheats, or little known facts about video games. These videos are made to be shorter than my normal videos and have a very focused subject matter. If you have any requests for future Speedy Tours, please leave them in the comments below! :)
