Enjoy this quick video that shows the zombie models I made and the set up I built around them. For anyone interested, the way I set everything up was to have the original zombie character with the enemy scripts attached; the basic scripts that tell it to chase and attack you, etc. If the Raycast created when shooting detects an object with the tag "Zombie", it is a regular body shot and does X amount of damage. If it detects an object with the tag "ZombieHead", that is a headshot. In the event of a regular body shot death, I delete the main zombie model and replace it with a model containing active ragdoll physics, so it immediately slumps over. If it was a headshot, the death is instantaneous. I delete the main zombie and delete it with a ragdoll physics zombie as well, however the head "explodes" and the model generated is headless, with a particle system mimicking blood spray.
The next step regarding combat is to fix the grenade scripts so zombies go BOOM. Also I will probably re-make the Springfield rifle. This is a low-poly game, but I want to go through the guns at some point and see which ones I can re-make better (probably all of them lol).
