Another brutally (im starting to overuse this word now) hard spectrum game that's taken me a long while to complete a recording. I have also recorded to snes version to compare against.

The first level is not so bad. as long as you don't stand around, you can usually just spray bullets and kill anything coming on screen. Level 2 can easily be where your game ends. An important point to remember is that Ness and Stone must make it through each level to beat the game. If they are killed it is game over when you complete the level. If wallis and Malone die, level 3 and 5 may not be possible.

Back to level2, the difficulty comes from avoiding being shot or hit by a 'near by' grenade. the grenaders spawn quite fast and may not even give you time to role away before the next thrower spawns. Ideally you rotate between all characters and don't let them die which is a difficult task as it takes a lot of barrels being destroyed before you can move on. The characters waiting in safety are supposed to have their health recharged, but it didn't ever seem to happen for me.

Level3 is quite long as well but as long as rotating through characters, shouldn't be too difficult as there health does recharge at some point getting near the station.

Level4 wasn't too bad as the health always appears at a predictable placement. Level5 wasn't really much to it. After the game ends it loops right back to level 1 which I don't show.

The game is well presented and gives the impression the developer cared about this one. With more time, it may have been possible for a splash of colour. -
