About Barrows & Sun
Rebel Sun, international hip-hop artist and Baltimore native,
resides in Tel Aviv, after relocating to Israel in 1999. As
frontman vocals for Coolooloosh and Lucille Crew, Rebel Sun
has become a staple of the Israeli music scene and a constant
face in the international festival circuits. He also performs as
a guest emcee for the renown production consortium
RawTapes. As a recording/mixing engineer David Ampong, aka
Mean J Barrows, is the brains behind the beats. He's
worked on records for artists across the Hip-Hop, R&B &
Jazz—including major label talent for Aftermath, Atlantic,
Blue Note and Basin Street Records; including his work on the Grammy Award-winning
album: “Book One” with the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra. He
also currently works as a content & product specialist for Waves Audio.
