About Everel Airborne
We are a family of leisure pilots, spanning two continents, North America and Europe. Here we share some of our adventures that combine our passions for the great outdoors and general aviation. In the cold season, we enjoy taking our highly modified Cessna 185 on 29" Bush wheels into the backcountry and in the warm season, we put the 185 on amphibious floats to enjoy the thousands of lakes in the upper Midwest of the US. In 2021 an AirCam with two 125 hp Edge Performance EP914Ti engines on 31" Bush wheels joined "the fleet" and is now based in New Mexico. In early 2022, we added a Rockwell Turbo Commander 1000 (695A) for longer distance travels. It's a phenomenal aircraft with great range, close to 2,000 NM, 285 kts cruise at FL 280 while burning less than 70 gph of Jet A. Lastly, we previously owned a DG-505 MB high performance, self launching glider, and we will look to get back into soaring in the mountains, which started our passion for aviation some 40 years ago back in the Alps.
