We are continuing work on our nuclear power factory in this Satisfactory episode. We finally get to working with uranium and setting up production of uranium cells, but first we have to unlock the recipe!


I build an empty floor with the thick foundation slabs as a radiation break. On top of this, I build another floor, which is where we have 28 manufactures that will combine uranium, sulfur, silica and quickwire into uranium cells. This is the first step of the production of nuclear fuel cells that is radioactive. However, we don't have this recipe unlocked yet.

In order to unlock it, we have to bring 100 uranium to the HUB. We will also need to set up a train line to bring the uranium to the factory. So we do both, and set up a train line into the cave, to the miner we set up last time. Besides allowing a train to travel, the train line will bring power to power the miner.

Once we have the train line set up, and the miner powered, we grab 100 uranium and head out of the cave. We make it back to the cave entrance, but have gone through many radiation filters, so we drop the uranium. Instead we build an explorer buggy, and put the uranium into it, which allows us to drive it back to the hub without taking damage or using up more filters.

Back at the hub, we set off to make more filters, but this need mycelium to be crafted, and it turns out that the best source is back in the cave! We go and gather some, and then head back to the hub, but not before exploring a cave behind some destructible rocks.

We make 30 more filters, and then use the uranium to unlock the uranium cell recipe. We then head back the the nuclear power factory, and set up all the manufactures there. We then hook up all the belts for the materials needed, except for the uranium. We don't want to bring in the uranium and the radiation it brings until we have everything built.
